The working principle of a go-kart is to transmit the power generated by the power system to the rear wheels through the transmission mechanism, so that the vehicle can obtain driving force and move. For fuel karts, the engine burns fuel to produce mechanical energy, which is transmitted to the driving wheels through the clutch, chain and rear axle; for electric karts, the battery provides electrical energy to the motor, and the motor converts the electrical energy into mechanical energy, and then drives the vehicle forward through the transmission device. The driver adjusts the power output by controlling the accelerator pedal to achieve different operating states of the vehicle such as starting, accelerating, traveling at a constant speed, and decelerating.
The steering of the kart mainly relies on a mechanical steering system. After the driver turns the steering wheel, the steering force is transmitted to the front wheels through the steering column, steering shaft and tie rod, causing the left and right front wheels to deflect according to a certain steering angle, thereby changing the vehicle's driving direction. Because karts have a lighter body, a shorter wheelbase, and are generally not equipped with power steering, the steering response is fast and the vehicle has high control sensitivity, which can meet the driving needs of continuous curves and complex tracks.
Vehicle deceleration and parking are accomplished by the braking system. When the driver steps on the brake pedal, the hydraulic system transmits pressure to the brake calipers, and friction is generated between the brake pads and the brake discs, which gradually reduces the wheel speed and ultimately decelerates or stops. During the driving process of the vehicle, the power system, steering system and braking system cooperate with each other to complete the basic operating processes of the vehicle such as starting, accelerating, turning, decelerating and stopping, ensuring that the kart can complete various driving operations safely and stably.
